Keeping the Legacy Alive

The RGA curriculum is not a loose syllabus. It is a structured, progressive system designed to develop Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, from a student's first session through to black belt. Every technique is sequenced with intent. Every class has a purpose.

This is the same methodology that produced one of the most technically complete competitors the sport has ever seen. It is now the methodology available to every student inside the RGA network.

Who is Roger Gracie?

10x Black Belt World Champion

Roger Gracie is one of the greatest jiu-jitsu competitors to have ever stepped on a mat. A 10x Black Belt World Champion and a multiple MMA champion, Roger is one the most decorated fighters of the modern era, and a member of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Hall of Fame.

Roger is the son of Reila Gracie and Mauricio Gomes (one of a handful of men who received their black belts from Jiu-Jitsu legend Rolls Gracie), and the grandson of Carlos Gracie.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to London in his youth, where he opened one of the largest academies in the United Kingdom alongside his father.

Roger's Methodology

Roger’s philosophy is simple: do not learn a hundred techniques. Master the ones that matter.

The Roger Gracie methodology is built on the belief that basic positions, executed with superior posture, constant pressure and precise mechanics, will always outperform complexity.

When Roger decided to build an association, he did not build it around his name. He built it around his method. The curriculum, the progressions and the standards inside every RGA academy are a direct product of how Roger understands Jiu-Jitsu. The one that works under pressure, at every level, for every body type, at every age.
